VW Scirocco is finally here!-Geneva preview

The guys over at VW haven’t yet unveiled the new model as they await the Geneva Auto Show to do that but a few pics have „leaked” on the Internet.

Resembling the Iroc concept,the new Scirocco won’t disappoint the fans that still dream of the first and second generations from the ‘70 and ‘80.
We’ll probably see a slightly modified Golf platform but the car is for the racing enthusiasts even though the Scirocco is a volume car with base engines with just over 100 HP.But those that want more power can choose the 200 HP 2 litre turbo engine and VW will most likely throw in some TDIs(105 HP, 140 HP and 170 HP).

The DSG transmission is also expected as optional and the interior which won’t be so different from the Golf will have sport seats.

All we have to find out is the price and if the tuning market will appreciate the new car.

    So, the Scirocco is supposed to be “This is what the Rabbit would look like if Peugeot made it?”

    they need to stuff that 3.6 in that car and then it would be super.

    This car was showing up in mule form a week ago as the Golf VI. Has to be why the pics were released. Now I see why US dealers said no thanks. I’d trade my MKv in right now for this. If it’s a Golf platform, the bits and pieces at almost all corners are already available. 296 HP 2.0 TFSI, please?

    Looks good, but I say, VW, stop screwing around, bring back the Corrado too, and bring them both stateside!
