Bohemia rally: Skoda Fabia Super 2000 Show

Skoda Fabia Super 2000 will make his first show in Bohemia rally. Looks like the Bohemia rally will be the great place where the new Skoda Fabia Super 2000 make its debut. We will looking forward to this great show in Bohemia and see what Skoda Fabia Super 2000 can bring to us. The vehicle which was announced in February will be powered by a 2.0 liter FSI engine, found also on the Vw Golf V GTI, and will deliver approximately 140 hp.

A six-speed sequential transmission will be used on the vehicle as well as a four-wheel drive system and three passive differentials. The lucky drivers who will drive the car will be Jan Kopecky, Raimund Baumschlager, Sebastian Lindholm and the well-known Spanish driver Carlos Sainz. More details when the official information will be released and surely will keep the information updated~

Over 100 years of motorsport legacy:the Skoda Fabia Super 2000

Based on the second generation Fabia this car is meant to compete in the Super 2000 category and as FIA regulations say it has a 2 litre 4 cylinder normal aspirated engine,a 6 speed sequential gear box and 4 wheel drive helped by 3 mechanical differentials.From a design point of view this car looks great even though it will probabily never roam the treets.I think Skoda realised that there’s a lot of almost free publicity in the racing scene so they want to get a piece of the action.

Dr. Eckhard Scholz,a borad member over at Skoda Auto and also the one responsible with the technological development,declare the following: “We are glad to have started testing the Fabia Super 2000. This year we are planning to optimise and certify the vehicle so that we can use it on both national and international levels. When exactly will the vehicle be released for competition use will depend on the achieved progress, relevant test results and the final certification. Then we are also planning to offer the vehicle to private teams. Based on a customer service arrangement, further development work on the vehicle will be done in close cooperation with our importers worldwide”.

2008 Skoda Superb (Geneva Preview)

Although Skoda Superb 2008 will be unveiled for the first time at the Geneva show in March, we are going to present you some additional photos and details regarding this upcoming car.

The Volkswagen Passat platform based car, Skoda Superb, features direction-changing headlights, an innovating climate control system and it also sports automatic parking assist. If you compare this new model with the old one, you’ll see some difference : the new one grows with 35mm longer and 18mm wider but hunkers down 8mm lower. Oh the wheelbase also shrinks with 42mm. It has six engine options : three gasoline and three diesels, topping out with 260-hp 3.2 liter V6. Superb will have five or six-speed manual will come standard depending on which engine is chosen, but the Superb will also sport an available DSG twin-clutch transmission option.

Even if the new Superb isn’t so exciting, it seems Skoda managed to put together a surprisingly good package.
