Vulca V12-the Italian beauty

Geneva is now open for business and the first car that I want to talk about is a beautiful Italian masterpiece:the Vulca V12.

vulca V12

You have got to give it up to the coach buildr Faralli & Mazzanti for a trully awseome supercar.This model is all aluminium and iys retro look gives you a slap when you try to underestimate it.The guys over at F&M did not dissapoint when it comes up to performance od driving dynamics.So,you can choose from 3 engines.A 6 litre V12,that deliveres 450 HP and 600 Nm.This will set you back 280.000 euros.
the second configuration is a 7,1 litre V12,520 HP and 730 Nm.That costs 320.000 euro.

And for the adrenalin junkies there is a 7,5 litre V12 t5hat comes packed with 600 HP and 800 Nm and a price tag of 340.000 de euro.

vulca V12

The Italians didn’t mention any figures but I believe that given the engines alone this car can stand proud with any supercar today.

And because if it’s Italian it has to be exclusive,the Vulcan V12 is hand built in a 2+2 configuration and will most probabily fill the hearts and garages of collectors since only 10 will be made.

The Seat Bocanegra Concept-Geneva preview

The current Ibiza has been on the market since 2002 and now a generation change is on its way.Things aren’t moving as fast as we would like and just now the Spanish manufacturer will unveil at Geneva the Bocanegra concept.This concept will show us how the new Ibiza will look like.seat bocanegra concept

From the design point of view this concept dares to be very different from the model we know and love and maybe that’s a good thind.Why?you might ask?Because this segment has been „renewed” with some interesting models: Ford Fiesta, Fiat Grande Punto, Opel Corsa, Mazda2 and it would be ashame for Seat to drop behind.seat bocanegra concept

We know that the production model won’t look as well asthe concept but some good changes have been made and we think that the market will appreciate them.The engines will resemble the ones under the hood of the current generation and the base model will have a 1,2 litre petrol engine that will develop around 70 HP.

Audi TT:bring on the TDI…

There was a time when:

-you wouldn’t put a diesel engine in a convertible to save your life;
-no „cool” car would be powered by a diesel engine;

diesel audi tt

But when you win endurance races with a diesel engine,you as a serious manufacturer must take in consideration this alternative. And Audi did this hoping that all their customers won’t be dissapointed. And from what I’ve heard they don’t have any reason to be.

We all know the TT as a sports car that can bring a big smile on everyone’s face but the German manufacturer thinks that by puting a TDI under the hood the receipe will be evn better.It has to be sayd that it will be a 2 litre, 170 HP and 350 Nm TDI(the same that poweres the Skoda Octavia RS).And because everything has to be perfect,the quattro ALW system won’t be missing.

I know that many of you are thinking:but is it still a true sports car?And the answer is simple: 0 to 100 km/h in 7,5 seconds with a top speed of 226 km/h.The real advantage pops up when we discuss the fuel consumtion: 5,3 l/100 km for the coupe and 5,5 l/100 km for the roadster.And don’t worry about any vibrations because this engine is very quiet.

Geneva Preview : GranTurismo S confirmed

Here are some official details and images regarding Maserati’s new GranTurismo S, which is expected to be unveiled in Geneva next week. The S version features the same 4.7-liter 440hp V8 engine which Maserati developed especially for the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

This engine seems to be mated to an electro-actuated MC-Shift gearbox mounted on the rear transaxle for optimized weight distribution and faster shifting times. The Brembo braking system keeps the extra power which was first used on the Quattroporte Sport GT S, featuring front brakes with dual-cast iron/aluminum discs and six-pot aluminum calipers.

As you can notice from the official images, the GranTurismo S also sports a subtle visual tweaks including new wheels and a leather & Alcantara-trimmed interior with sport buckets.

Another beast for Geneva:the TechArt 911 Cabrio

     For the Geneva Auto Show the German tunner TechArt prepared a very special 911 Cabrio.This highly modiffied ride might catch your eyes with its spoilers,side skirts and sport aileron but the beast under the hood is the real gem.As you all know the boxer engine USED to deliver a very respectable 480 HP but the guys over at TechArt thaought that it wasn’t enough so they found a more suiting figure:no less than 630HP.Even though there are no official information,we believe that small changes have been made to the overall dymanic of the car.techart 911

TechArt hasn’t yet made public the „numbers” for this car but the top speed is estimated around 340 km/h.techart 911
