The British+Ford GT=720HP

Avro Motor Cars,a British tunner got its hands on a Ford GT and gave it a special treatment.

If we look at the exterior,we won’t see any major changes beside the colour and the impressive rims.But the real revolution took place under the hood.The V8 has been pushed to 720 HP and so the car got its name- Ford GT 720 Mirage.The max torque is 815 Nm and the beast has no problem reaching a top speed of 350 km/h(electronicaly limited).

The ground clearence has been reduced by 25 mm and the KW shocks give the driver 3 settings to chose from. Avro Motor Cars will only make 10 of these cars.

Mini,watch out!Here comes the Alfa Romeo Mi.To

You have to admit that the Mini is unbeateble in its class.The kart handling and its overall design makes this car one of the best selling in the world.But what would you think about an Italian Mini?That would be something wouldn’t it?So did Alfa Romeo and set its mind on doing something:the Mi.To.The unusuable name has been ecplained by the company: Mi – from Milano,where the car’s design has been conceved and To – Torino,the city where the car will be produced.

Basicaly the Mi.To is a small 8C Competizione(see the front side and the rear lights).The car has the dimensions that the Italians say are perfect for a excellent handling: 4.06 meters in lenght, 1.44 meters in hight and 1.72 meters wide.The driver will also have to chose from 3 settings: Dynamic –sport mode, Normal-for city driving and All Weather-for low grip conditions.Alfa Romeo already announced 4 engines for the Mi.To,both diesel and petrol,with power ranges bethween 90 and 155 HP.But we expect that later on there will be a couple of „real” engines.And when I say that I mean something that can come close to the Mini Cooper S.

The car will be presented to the press in June and in July Mi.To will hit the showrooms in Europe.There aren’t many pictures and NO price informations but we can expect premium…

Bugatti has something up its sleeve…

Bugatti Veyron is still one of the most wanted and expensive cars in the world but the production won’t continue for a very long time.The Italian manufacturer sayd that 300 of them will be made and until now 200 contracts have been signed and more than 150 have been delivered.

Lately some rumors have surfaced that a new model will hit the market,a car more extravagant and more expensive than the Veyron.Until Bugatti decides to give us some clear clues a young designer from Malta shows us through some drawings how the new model should look.The project is called Streamliner.

X5 by Lumma Design

Not many of you have heard of Lumma Design but I have to say that they have done a great job with this X5.

Design wise,the front spoiler,side skirts,rear spoiler and aileron realy bring an American touch to the European car.Not to talk about the 22 inch rims that complete thie transformation.

The engine or engines to be exact,are the 3.0d and 3.0sd.The 3.0d has been pumped up to 275 HP and 600 Nm and the 3.0sd now developes 330 HP and 660 Nm.

All in all the tunner had a good idea but it should have given up on trying to turn this car into an American bling car and maybe transform it into a true European beauty.But that’s just me…

Mercedes SL 63 AMG debuts at Geneva

Mercedes Benz brought to Geneva,besides other cars,the new SL 63 AMG.I don’t know if „new” is accurate since it only received a facelift.This model will replace the SL 55 AMG and comes with all new bodykit, darkened headlamps and tail-lights and new 19-inch alloy wheels.

The power is provided by a 6,3 litre V8 that doesn’t let you down with its 525 HP and 630 Nm.That’s much better than the old SL 55 AMG but when we look at the actual performance figures we see that the 63 is slower to 100 km/h with 0,2 seconds.
