PPI is on the right track
First of all,I must say that I don’t see the point of a car like the Q7.Second,I wouldn’t buy a Q7,X5 or Cayenne to save my life. That being sayd,I admit that PPI did an awesome job.I mean look at that body kit!The front and rear spoiler, the rear difusor and the wheel flared arches give the car an agressive look never seen before on a Q7.Audi better get working on a sporty version of their SUV because it’s obvoius that people need a little more attitude.
The width has been increased with 100 mm and the 4 exhaust tips make you forget that you drive an SUV.PPI can increase the power with 46 more HP but I think that you might want to wait for the supercharged 4,2 litre V8 engine that will put aut 600 HP.
All in all a big improvement.Let’s hope that PPI will kep on transforming dull SUVs into fire breathing monsters.
At last the Q1!
And there it is:the Audi Q1,the ultimate crossover.
Or so says the German manufacturer.Based on the VW Tiguan, the new car aims for the subcompact premium SUV market.Q1 borrows from the Tiguan only the mechanical platform. The looks come from the Steppenwolf concept revealed 7 years ago at the Paris Auto Show. The German designers also have in mind a 5 door version.
By 2015 Audi intends to manufacture no less than 40 models,an unseen offensive in the company’s history.
In the future the engineers from Ingolstadt will introduce an electric motor to replace the diesel one.

MTM gives us a new approach to the A5. They’ve changed the exterior with an S5-like body kit but the most work has been done to the 3 litre V6 TDI. The power has increased from 240 to 300 HP and the torque got up to 550 Nm.The special exhaust helped this performance increase because of the 4 pipes.
Without it the engine only has 292 HP but I don’t see the point of not geting it.The dynamic performance also increased:the top speed is 265 km/h and gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 5,9 seconds. The suspension has also been worked at as well as the brakes.
And get this: MTM A5 got around the Hockenheim circuit one second faster than the S5.

The quattro is Audi’s way of asking us if we would like a cabrio that’s at the same time a SUV too.The concept rises a few eyebrows because its target public is a not so well defined.Who would buy this car?Amiddle-aged guy who wants a convertible but HAS to get an SUV for the family?Or maybe a guy who needs a convertible and can only fit in an SUV?It’s not practical in the city and the offroad capabilities are most likely going to be close to zero.So what’s the meaning of this car?
The aggressive exterior sure makes you wonder where this car wants to go.The rather large front grill ends with an aggressive spoiler lit up by a bunch of LEDs.The back end also features a combination of strong lines and not so many round edges. The soft top gets up and down in just 17 seconds. The interior presents itself very well with a brand new navigation system that uses Google Earth and an improved audio system taken from the A8.
The 3 litre,240 HP and 500 Nm TDI engine keeps up with the Euro 6 regulations but doesn’t neglect performance. The car has a 8 speed automatic gear box and can accelerate from 0 to 62 in 7.2 seconds with a top speed of 150 m/h.
A hybrid Q7 by the end of the year
Nowadays every respectable car manufacturer MUSt have at least one hybrid model.Considering this,Audi set its mind on conveting the Q7 by the end of this year.A 51 HP electric motor will be implanted to the car, powered by a 288 V battery. The engineers estimate that the fuel consumtion and the CO2 emissions will drop by 23%.The regular engine will be a 3,6 litre(280 HP,375 Nm).
It has to be said that Audi tryed to keep the peeformance up to their standards so the car accelerates from a stand still to 60 MPH in 8.5 seconds but the ecologic part is stongly accentuated by the lowered CO2 emissions (from 309 to 237 g/km) and fuel comsumtion (from 18.5 MPG to 24,2 MPG).
