The saviour:Cadillac CTS-V

The US car industry just can’t make it on the European market.I mean there are a couple of exceptions but in general America loses ground by the day.A solution had to be foud fast to stop the reign of 3 models: BMW M5, Mercedes E63 AMG and Audi RS6.cts-v

The solution, the Cadillac CTS-V.It has just been launched in its 2009 version.

Design wise I’m not sure the Americans will know how to appreciate it.Europe will just chose to ignore this car altogether, wich is a sad thing.I personaly think that the design Cadillac has adopted is a very cool way to reinvent a brand.cts-v

mechanicaly this car will be able to stand against its European rivals mainly because of its beautilully engineered susspension. Also it has great stability and traction control systems.
under the hood we’ll fiind a 6.2 litre V8 that deliveres 550 HP and 745 Nm of torque. That puts the CTS-V above the M5 and the E63 AMG but under the wonderful RS6.The 6 speed transmission sends all that power to the rear wheels via some padles on the steering wheel.

I’m sure that Cadillac won’t bring the Detroit muscle back on its feet but it’s a admirable atempt.

Cadillac’s nightmare:- 1930’s technology based and styled sheet-metal and piston engined, hydraulics controlled shareholders dream car! Is what is good for OPEC and Saudi investments good for America? Look up “Tesla” on the net, for where the rest of the world is going, without U.S. steel’s massive influence! Without the interconnected web of extraction corporations, a cartel for the automotive world if you will, that was GM! Ultra light, Carbon fiber bodies soon to come from China, because American manufacturers sit on weakening patent rights for humongous profit extractions, not the patriotic over-all good in mind! and China does not respect or enforce U.S, Patent law anyway! (never has – see Microsoft for proof!) and four wheel drive computer traction controls, all electric, and Lithium battery powered! No Arab Princes to pay off at gas pumps! Cadillac, your last stand is a weak reflection of your once dominant position, you did not keep up with the current realities on the streets of America, you did “Union Busting” not pay check writing! and now the proletariat, the peons will no longer play the game with you! We have stepped down from your glorious “American Dream” and are considering “Earth Ark” homes and only short annual working stints in clean free factory dorms while we are there, and paychecks clear to us in our pockets at the end of our stay! We will no longer pay the subsidies of car-ownership, so you can locate factories to maximize your profits! We wish to live much like the kindly folk who work on Navel vessels, cruise ships and ultra-modern Chinese and Asian factories, and be free to live as we please, outside your factories! 8 to 5 is over! Free, well fed, medically cared for workers will no longer be the freely provided norm! Just like in China, the factory, the corporation, will be called upon to pay for more for the worker, and give him dorms, food medical care, and entertainment for his stay with you! I expect the average person will be able to survive well on about three to four months service a year, and be free to operate their Eco-homes, complete with modern technologies for the rest of the year! In low cost areas, minus your psychotic sales-propagandized commission extracting “American Dream McMansions!” Cadillac’s passing, as a personal subsidy to the corporation marks the passing of an age in the Capitalist world! A long over-due comeuppance! You sold us out to Cheap Asian labor! Now, just try and make an unfair buck off our hides! We are wiser now! beware!
