Yet another Carz review: Nissan Cube 1.6 Kaizen 2010

NissanCubeMk3Gen3_2010_1It’s taken three generations, but the Nissan Cube’s funky Europe has finally made it through official channels. But it is a case of style over substance?
Hmm, this latest Nissan Cube looks a little less well, square. Nissan Cube 1.6 Kaizen 2010.

Yes, some styling of the older cars off the edge, in both senses, but it’s still a striking looking car and is characterized by a mile to a parking lot full of boring old Polo. Let us be clear, though, while it looks radical, there is nothing spectacular about its engineering and there is only a torsion beam under the boot floor.

In fact, under the right angle is the same platform for the Micra, Note used minivan and Renualt Clio. The last time there was a seven-cubic-seater version, but there are no plans for a long wheel base cube that time, and not just because Nissan Parallelapiped does not sound quite so cool. The Cube is actually slightly smaller than the reference raffle, 120mm length and 70mm in wheelbase, but is 120mm greater.
It is a small town Japanese car, so there is probably one impaled 49cc turbo engine under the hood and a CVT box that whines like a whale. Nissan Cube 1.6 Kaizen 2010.

The engine is actually a reasonable 1.6 four-pot, deletes 108bhp and 113lb ft of torque. Not surprising, but enough to move the 1265kg cube in the city at a reasonable pace: 0-62mph takes 11.3sec.

NissanCubeMk3Gen_review_2010But you’re right, it’s a CVT is available (a £ 1200 option) for the entire Japanese experience and the tranny, let’s go for it. Base cars but did not receive a five-speed manual transmission. And from the summer of 2010 everything will be much less if the Japanese Qashqai 1.5 dCi’s important, but only with a six-speed box. It is powerful and economical, but not the CVT Petrol 40mpg and suits the character of the cube.
So you say that’s crossing a car does not stick? Nissan Cube 1.6 Kaizen 2010..

Right. The Cube makes driving fun, but all the pleasure derived from its styling, inside and out. The steering is more communicative than before, now the brakes (discs at both ends treated) powerful and competent. But feel the engine thrust is taken from the urban comfort zone and roll the high result pages in abundance in the body. Not fun in a hot hatch, or even mini, meaning. To ratchet up the pace and enjoy rather than the eyes of passers-by and marvel at the cool interior details. Stuck in city traffic, often stationary, and always carried within its borders, the Cube is much more fun than most small cars.
