Saab 9-5 2.0 T Aero 2010 CAR Review. It’s a long way. Thirteen years in fact. But finally has a new Saab 9-5 called into life and we have finally tested here in the entry level 2.0-liter turbo diesel spec. One of the TDs clip is available in the new 5.9, which is in the same four-cylinder block but with single or twin-turbocharged 158bhp to 187bhp or crank their outputs. Here we examine the lower powered Saab 9-5 2.0 TiD.
New 2010 Saab 9-5: The Overview
The old 9.5 its existence to 13 years fulsome way. Starved of funds by the owners of GM, it reached a low point with the last facelift to hide their bechromed glasses against the aging process below. Then the new one was 9.5 in 2009 showed only for the company that are driven to the brink of liquidation by the global economic crisis. The new 9-5 is almost as round as a boat, if viewed from above!
But it looks very stylish from the rear. You have installed sent the dramatically swooping from the C-pillars 99/900 et al clever effect, whereby the entire fuselage rounded away from these wonderful retro horizontal taillights. This is a stylish car, a decent one – and one that feels right for Saab in 2010.
Enough of the teasing! How does the new 5.9-drive?
First impressions are of a really large executive car. Although the new 9-5 will be pitched against the Audi A6 and Volvo S80, it is indeed 5008mm long – and that’s almost enough to chuck in the peripheral Merc S-class territory.
Fortunately, it does not feel solid to Punt along the streets around the factory Trollhättan base, but the downside is a really spacious cabin. The front is roomy, but it is mostly in the rear foot area, where the back-seat passengers is felt extraordinary. Short a Skoda Superb, you will not find chauffeurish more room back there in this relationship.
