Volkswagen says the new 2011 Passat takes … Actually, I might just interrupt to say it, the Passat Mk7 is not new, it’s a bloody facelift. New headlights, new grille, Bob’s your uncle. Today’s Carzpage Review: VW Passat 2.0 TDI 170 Sport 2010.
Okay, so the new, seventh-generation VW Passat has maintained the same platform as the 2006 car, but Volkswagen, that each panel is new.
But it is possible to look almost exactly the same as the Passat replace! Maybe that’s a little unfair. The top cars certainly look forward premium, very nice indeed, although I bet will be a 1.4 on tires not quite as appealing. What exactly is new?
A lot of technology, that’s what. Some of this is material that we previously in other VWs (self-parking, XDS differential, adaptive dampers, start-stop) and others, have not we, as a drowsiness monitor’ve seen that recognizes when your entries are always ragged, a solid sign that you are about to fall off. to get all three diesel options (both 1.6 and 2.0s) and the basic 1.4 petrol engine with fuel-saving start-stop technology. Today’s Carzpage Review: VW Passat 2.0 TDI 170 Sport 2010.
The old VW Passat was actually pretty good ride. How does stack the facelift in 2011 Passat?

Suzuki Kizashi is to evaluate the sale of the UK. This is the first D-sector family car participants from Suzuki, which has historically specialized in small cars and robust, inexpensive SUVs. Can the Suzuki Kizashi really draw us out of our Mondeo and Insignia? Would it be your Surprise: Suzuki Kizashi 2.4 2011 First View.
Suzuki Kizashi GB has a 2.4 Sport imported to Britain for analysis with dealers and selected media. CAR first drive review should indicate whether they are on the wrong track tree – or whether it was a case for a family car from Suzuki in the UK. It looks promising in the parking lot: the design is carved sharp, with a striking face, balanced proportions with a hint of the old school Subaru aggression and a squat rear zippered Concept Car-style alloy exhaust tip.
Suzuki Kizashi 2.4 Sport: Background
The Kizashi is not as big as a Mondeo and the other Leviathon the D-sector. It extends to 4650mm, making it more of a curious half-size classes between Focus and Mondeo – a shade larger than 4569mm Skoda Octavia. It’s really spacious, however: The front compartment is comfortable and there is plenty of room for large adults in series two, although the transmission tunnel meets rear legroom and the sunroof robs headroom front and rear. Boot capacity stands at 461 liters, and it is a large, accessible trunk.
What about the engineering of the Kizashi?
This is a new platform, says Suzuki, lurking under no architecture of its SUVs and smaller cars. The 2.4 petrol engine is borrowed from the Grand Vitara, but upgraded for limousine use. This is the biggest obstacle to the Kizashi: Europeans hardly buy petrol family car, and the 35.8mpg combined economy and 183g/km will be plenty to deter buyers. But says Suzuki, that it is the largest retail bank penetration of UK industry to the Kizashi has more plausibility. With less CO2 tax concerns and probably lower annual mileage, the 2.4 petrol is less of an obstacle, says Suzuki.
It is an unremarkable enough engine. It speeds and quiet you need to make high speed, to reach the demands of sharpish Acceleration 0-62mph in 7.8sec. At higher speeds, the rasps and shows a turn of speed, but do not feel like a quick sedan. In the days when Ford 1.6-liter engines are Ecoboost turns out more power, this engine from the pace in most key indicators.Would it be your Surprise: Suzuki Kizashi 2.4 2011 First View.

This result is the new Ferrari 458 Challenge, the latest in a series of racers from Maranello. It was presented today at the Bologna Motor Show. It is not the first time that the race-spec have seen 458, but they have more photos of it has issued.
I have not seen Ferrari 458 Challenge somewhere before?
Ferrari preview, first on its annual session dealer in Italy earlier this fall. The 458 Challenge races in the 2011 Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli series determined. It is the fifth race in the Ferrari designed Pracing Horse’s make cup series.
The new 458 Challenge is a mix of stocks 458 Italia and new competition-spec upgrades. The 4.5-liter V-8 road car legal and develops the same 562bhp at 9000rpm a neck-tingling, but it will float in this epic Redline frequently with shorter gears.
The dual-clutch gearbox is calibrated to provide more torque at low speeds, too. But amateur race hands are relieved: the E-Diff electronic remain on hand for the worst tail slides to brake on the track.
So what makes the Ferrari 458 Challenge, a racing driver?
One of the main differences between the 458 Italia Road Car Racer Challenge and this is a diet, says Ferrari, although there is still an empty weight problem. The body panels are thinner in most places and replaced most of the glass works of Lexan plastic.
The challenge is to introduce mandatory driving lanes corner, thanks to a thorough revision of the already not-at-all-shabby suspension. Out go the rubber bushings from solid aluminum bushing replaced the springs and dampers are stiffer newly calibrated, the ride is dropped 50mm all round, and Pirelli slicks are adapted to the new Quick Release 19 “wheels. Brembo brakes from the latest CCM2 599XX are donated to the 458 Challenge wipe away all that speed. And to help you pile on the clicks again, an updated F1-Trac traction control is added with dry and wet settings to put the ponies at the track. Even more settings on the steering wheel manettino confuse the driver mid corner …
Cue obligatory lap time at Fiorano …
Oh yes. Since you asked the 458 Challenge 1min 16.5sec a round that up to 1.6 g in the fastest corners brings. That’s two seconds per lap faster than the previous generation, Challenge Racer, says Ferrari. To work, the Enzo in 1min 24.9sec lapped in 2002. Should be sufficient to achieve the professional and masters racers to get their checkbooks. Which is much room for zeros must, as the 458 Challenge is probably by far exceed the price tag £ 169 546 Italia. The 430 Challenge will cost around £ 185,000 (including the first this year’s race entry fees) compared to the F430’s £ 145,000 price tag.
CarzPage Review: Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI 163 Powershift 2010

Ford has a talent, too late to the party. The Kuga itself was not introduced until 2008, but until now it has been deprived of one of the most popular drive systems SUVS: a diesel particulate filter car. CarzPage Review: Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI 163 Powershift 2010.
These have finally arrived in recent weeks, mating the proven 2.0-liter turbo diesel with Ford TDCI Powershift dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission. You can get your Kuga Power Shift in two forms: the 138bhp output or the beefier 161bhp version. It is the latter, we test here.
Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI Powershift 163: first drive.Let be confused by the 163 in the name of the Kuga, which is the output in horsepower or hp. We must say we did not much fancy the lower powered version, and this top-spec diesel Kuga not just to fly. CarzPage Review: Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI 163 Powershift 2010.
Rather, it is a well judged performance: civilized for a diesel engine, smooth-revving and comfortable enough acceleration. We have not yet tested the 140 suspect, but it’s worth forking, for the extra £ 1500 for the extra power and torque.
The Powershift transmission fits the car. We have it in D for most of the week, and he jumps ratios seamlessly into the background. There are no paddles, but you can shift between cogs, you should move ping. You will enjoy the usual double-clutch gearbox quick-shift, but it is not quite as instantaneous as VW DSG original. Ford Kuga: Is it useful? There is much to praise the Kuga: It is a stylish mid-size crossover, it is one of the best to deal with this brand softness in the foam and sweetness of the steering, betrayed his Focus roots drive and it is not too big as an SUV – it is really not a challenge than a gasoline engine to drive on stilts. CarzPage Review: Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI 163 Powershift 2010.
But therein lies one of the problems. Its compact footprint of 4.4-not much room for body and pockets. The boat is at a compact 360 liters and rear space is ok, rather than spacious. If you only have small children or adults who occasionally, you’ll be fine, but competitors offer more luggage space and passenger room.

CAR review Today: Audi A7 3.0 TFSI SE 2010

Audi says 90% of European buyers A7S their diesel-powered to take. So what is on offer for those who think out of the box do? We try the turbocharged 3.0 TFSI petrol engine to find out. CAR review Today: Audi A7 3.0 TFSI SE 2010 .
Quick recap please – what exactly is the A7?
It is Ingolstadt answer to the Mercedes CLS, a luxury sedan that will have to be a coupe. Think A5 Sportback, but on a larger scale. We drove the 242bhp 3.0 TDI already, but this is our first in the blown petrol go six. Although it would go well with petrol-loving markets like the U.S., says Audi UK will change the 3.0TFSi for only 6% of the UK in 2011. But come to the inevitable S and RS models, this will come as a performance-focused than A7S. The 296bhp engine will fire the 5m, 1770kg Fastback from 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds before the crash in an electronic limiter at 155 mph.
So, why most people opt for the diesel? CAR review Today: Audi A7 3.0 TFSI SE 2010 .
The petrol version costs about the same price as the diesel and slowly let’s face it, with 242bhp and masses more torque the diesel far from reaching 62mph in 6.3sec. Factor in the ability to 47 miles on a single gallon (compared with 34mpg from the petrol), lower company car tax, which stems from a reduction of CO2 and you have the reasons why most sensible people will buy the oil burner was . But then again, we are not always appropriate, we can?
How is it to drive?
loaded with 296 horses under the hood, the car is hardly short on bag, and the throttle response is crisp and urgent. Both the 3.0 petrol and high-power diesel and share their power down brilliantly in Quattro form (the lower power range diesel and 2.8 petrol front-drive are), and while the diesel more torque (369 versus 325 pounds-feet ), there was much pushing out up to 60mph, the fuel has the edge for sure. But while the ride is great, the 3.0 ’s handling tighter than dazzling, they can not touch a Jaguar XF for entertainment when it comes to steering and attitude. CAR review Today: Audi A7 3.0 TFSI SE 2010 .
Judgement
If there is a five-door coupe-style sedan saloon combines prestige, elegance and coupé avant functionality you are looking for then you will enjoy the new Audi A7 Sportback. Or the same car could be in a slightly less provocative wrapped body for thousands of pounds less will be the election of the new A6 sedan have. And do not forget that is second-generation Mercedes CLS also hit showrooms in early 2011.
