The above picture shows that Mini has different alloy wheel designs within the model and silver-capped door mirrors show that Mini Cooper Convertible will still offer a huge variety of personalization option.

This Mini version is the turbo-charged Cooper S, it is distinguished by its own bonnet air scoop and twin pipe exhausts. The canvas roof will again offer a clever two-stage opening system – you can pick between a 40cm mini opening to create a sunroof or the usual, top-down full soft top.

Rotate to the rear, the brand new Mini Cooper Convertible 2009 will have a custom design window and rollover hoop. For more details, we still need to wait until the Paris motor show debut in October 2008.

New Features:

• Electric assisted steering system that doesn’t draw power until you turn the wheel

• A regulated oil pump that consumes less energy
• An automatic start/stop system

• Intelligent alternator control that only charges the battery when coasting or braking
• A display for letting the driver know the best time to change gear to minimize fuel consumption

Engines in the Mini Convertible:
The power plant engines will be carried over from the Mini hatch and Clubman quasi-estate. So the new PSA BMW four cylinder engine will replace the older-tech Chrysler nowadays which will fully increased the power of the first generation BMW Minis. Bid the Cooper S’s supercharged wail farewell…

The green credentials are also impressive, the CO2 expected to release out as low as just 104g/km on if a diesel version is offered.

Estimate Price:
