Honda Civic’s Challenger: Toyota Corolla Altis Finally Lauched !!

As it is said before, on 5th September, Toyota had launched its 10 generation Toyota Corolla Altis after a long period. It is hoped that the new Toyota Corolla Altis will have a good competition to the segment leader Honda Civic! When launching the Corolla Altis, Toyota is willing to makes its first step of gaining at least 10% market share with in 5 years. The launch of the Toyota Corolla Altis means the Noida Expo Ground will be replaced and it is available in the showrooms only.

The brand new Toyota Corolla Altis will come within a 1.8L, 4 cylinder gasoline engine which will produce 133bhp & 6000rpm and torque of 170Nm with 4200 rpm..!! Further more, the new Corolla also comes with MacPherson Struts suspension in the front while Torsion Beams at the rear. The front is equipped with ventilated Disc brakes and solid disc at the rear along with 15 Tubeless tyres. The Corolla Altis can choose from standard 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.

The Toyota Corolla Altis comes in 3 general versions – 1.8G (manual), 1.8GL (manual) and 1.8VL (automatic). Even more, Corolla can be choose from 5 colours – Light Blue Metallic, Silver Mica Metallic, Champagne Mica Metallic, Dark Red Mica Metallic and White Pearl Mica.

The Corolla Altis will surely challenge with the the recently launched Volkswagen Jetta and segment leader Honda Civic. We will see which one is better later on~

The top-end version comes with world class features like HID Lamps, 8-way power adjustable driver seats which equipped with electric lumber support, not only Auto Dimming inside rear veiw mirror, but also headlamp washers and cruise control. Along only with these features the car is said to have 22 storage areas for comfort and convenience.

The corolla is priced very well. The new Corolla is bigger and wider than the previous one, which the legroom and headroom in the interior has been enhanced. The comfort will be increased in further by creating a flat rear. Further more, the car comes with audio controls in the steering wheel.

For safety, the new Corolla Altis is equipped with ABS and dual airbags in front for the driver and co-driver. An advanced seat called WIL concept seat which protect your body from extra strains and impacts.

In overall, it is a great car for economic or family usage.
