Ford Focus RS500 2010 First View

This is the new Ford Focus RS500, a special limited edition version of mad Focus RS hot hatch of the Blue Oval’s with 15% more power.
More power? Exactly what must be the Ford Focus RS500.
For starters, there’s that extra power. Thanks to take a larger air-to-air intercooler, a larger air filter and a larger diameter exhaust pipe (plus a new ECU, the advantages of mechanical changes) peak increases from £ 345 to 301bhp at 6000rpm ft, while torque climbs from 325 pounds £ 339 ft ft. The result is a 5.6sec 0-62mph time (after three tenths), while the top speed increases by two degrees to 165 miles an hour.
The optimizations have been developed in conjunction with gyroscopes Technologies, the engineering firm behind the Mountune brand, the Focus ST and Fiesta tweaks. The rest of the Focus RS is mechanically unchanged.
What is this matt black?
It is not painted, but a film. All Focus RS500s are painted in a black metallic, but then to film specialists 3M in Frankfurt, where the special film skillfully applied. Other visual enhancements include black alloy wheels and red brake calipers, as well as blue and red stickers RS500.
Inside all of the usual blue stitching of the Focus RS has been replaced with a red thread, while the pattern is on the shifter also red. Red leather Recaro seats are an option.
The Ford Focus RS500 will be officially launched at the Motor Show 2010 in Leipzig, Germany on 9 April revealed. Only 500 are being built (as the name implies) are coming into the United Kingdom with 101. All RS500s come with a dash-mounted plaque to signify their build number, and the prices should be around the £ 35k mark. The RS500 marks the end of production of the Focus RS Mk2, and the last cars will be at Ford’s Saarlouis plant built in Germany in September 2010.
