Aston Martin DBS

The Frankfurt Auto show hysteria has started. All the manufactures are preparing the ground for their models which will be presented at the show by revealing pictures and informations of their newest creations. It looks like the waiting time for Aston Martin fans ended.
After rising interest when it appeared in the new James Bond movie-Casino Royale, the gorgeous DBS coupe unveils itself at the end of this week at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The new Aston Martin is the same as the DB9 and even the same engine but greatly improved. The 6 litre V12 has an air scoop that only opens at 5500 rpm for a better ventilation and a better intake to ensure the optimum air-fuel mixture. The transmission is a six speed manual.
As expected, the HP is as impressive as the V12-510 horses ready to eat the road with all the 570 Nm of torque. Zero to sixty mph in 4.3 sec. is very good considering the overall weight of just 1695 kg. Top speed is 302 km\h. The whole car is practicaly made of carbon fiber to lose some weight.
All that power needs to be controlled. And Aston Martin put on this model all new ceramic brakes. And what could go better with the new brakes that the brand-new shock monitoring system called Adaptive Damping System? This system controles ground clearence and improved handling. The 20 inch rims rapped in Pirelli 295 tires complete the aggressive look.
Fans will have to wait until the new model will hit the road, in the first 3 months of 2008.
