Audi Q3 2011 First Overview

This is Audi’s new Q3, a baby-SUV added, the challenge of the BMW X1, Range Rover and the upcoming mini Evoque Paceman pinching and potential customers is Ford Kuga. It is the smallest Audi Q-Series 4×4 sit still below the Q5 and Q7. The new Audi Q3 will be officially shown at the 2011 Shanghai will be revealed next week.

They are polite or the piss? Bar to optimize the odd detail and looks redesigned bumper, it appeared almost identical to the Cross Coupé quattro concept at the Shanghai show in 2007. Within the A1 is a mixture of A1 and next-generation A3, with a pop-up navigation screen and usually first-rate materials. Posh options include Audi Drive Select (leave the throttle and steering), adaptive xenon lights, sat a hard drive nav system, hill-hold support, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, panoramic glass roof and several blind spot and lane assistant systems. is in the pipeline is a Bluetooth car phone with Wi-Fi hotspots couple offer full Internet connectivity.

The Ten Best Green Cars

The motoring world is changing. Fuel prices are spiralling out of control and the cost of insurance has risen by over 40% according to the AA.

People are starting to turn to environmentally friendly cars to help them during this difficult time, in an attempt to get cheaper car insurance and reduce their overall fuel bill.

In order to help people on their quest for the best green car available, we therefore list the ten best environmentally cars available assessed based not only on fuel efficiency but also on practicality. This has helped us come up with a more realistic and less biased list:

10. REVAi- G-Whiz
Fuel efficiency: Electric motor
C02 emission: 0 g/km
Top speed: 50 mph
Price: £12,000

The Indian based REVA electrical company produced the first all electric car which was available in the UK under the name of the G-Whiz which was first launched in 2003. It allegedly has enough room for two adults and two children and is capable of 75 miles between charges thanks to its lithium-ion batteries, which enabled it to revolutionise the electric car world at the time of its launch.

However, despite the valiant efforts sales have been affected by the UK’s lack of recharging station infrastructure and the fact that it only has a top speed of 50mph.

9. Citroen C2 Diesel
Fuel efficiency: 68.9 mpg
C02 emission: 113 g/km
Top speed: 102 mph
Price: £10,959

The C2 is arguable the best looking of Citroen’s small vehicle range and has excellent fuel economy, with the 1.4 litre diesel engine capable of 68.9 mpg (miles per gallon). This fuel efficiency is partly achieving with helped from the ‘stop and start’ engine feature, which cuts out the engine while at traffic lights in order to reduce fuel consumption.

It should be noted though, that this efficiency figure is not as impressive as it first appears. Diesel obviously costs more than petrol which means that the fuel cost savings will not be spectacular. Regardless of this, the C2 will still be viewed positively by insurers who offer environmental discounts though, as its low C02 emissions have resulted in the green car tag.

However, reliability has been a concern with some consumers complaining of engine management and suspension problems. There has also been mention of flimsy interior and inherent electric gremlins which along with the fact it is a diesel, some what take away from the C2 appeal.

8. Citroen C3 Diesel
Fuel efficiency: 67.3 mpg
C02 emission: 113 g/km
Top speed: 101.3 mph
Price: £10,790

The slightly larger C3 also has impressive efficiency with the same 1.4 litre diesel engine. Like the C2, the C3 comes equipped with the ‘stop and start’ engine feature which aids fuel efficiency. However, the larger size means a slight reduction to 67.3 mpg.

Unfortunately this close link to the C2 means that it also has many of its reported flaws, with concerns over reliability and the sturdiness of the interior. However, the engine management and suspension problems have not been reported on this model which results in it finishing one place above its little brother.

7. Renault Clio Diesel
Fuel efficiency: 67.3 mpg
C02 emission: 94 g/km
Top speed: 100 mph
Price: £10,595

No one can say that the Clio is not a good looking car, with its looks having won over many critics since it replaced the Renault Five in the early 1990s. The 1.5 diesel engine is also a crowd pleaser, as it is capable of 67.3 mpg which is amazingly exactly the same as the C3. However, the Clio has the edge over its French rival as its handling and power are far superior.
