The new A4 Avant

A few months after the unveiling of the A4 Audi is ready to show us the Avant version.The new A4 Avant was meant to be more dynamic and also more practical.The car is 12 cm longer than the previous model and has a 490 litre boot that can be increased to 1430 litres if you fold the back seat.

The engines are the same as the A4 and the quatro system is standard for the 3.2 litre FSI (265 HP) and the 3.0 litre TDI (240 HP). The base price is around 27.550 euros for the 1.8 litre TFSI Attraction (120 HP).

Just beautiful:the 8C Spider

The Alfa 8C Spider is the convertible version of the 8C Competizione,one of the most beutiful cars I’ve ever seen.First of all,it’s Italian so it has to behave good nad secondly with just 500 units being produced,it’s destined to become an icon.

The Spider has the same engine as the coupe,a 450 HP V8 linked to a 6 speed gear box with those paddles things on the steering wheel.I hate those things and even though they make for a clean and quick shift I don’t like the fact that they are just not as natural as a stick.Another cool thing is the differential that sends the power to the rear wheels.

Geneva preview:Ford Fiesta

The new Fiesta isn’t due until the Geneva Auto Show but Ford thought that is better to leak some informations about the new model.Many voices say that the American manufacturer wants to ditch the current name and call this car the Verve.But the rumors proved to be untrue and the Fiesta stays strong and promises to make a good impression in its class with the new fresh style it has and the well built interior.

I have to say that the new design is welcomed considering that this car has to face a though competion:Opel Corsa, Fiat Grande Punto and Mazda2.All 3 cars already proved that they can keep up a fight.

The interior looks amazing and the commands for the audio system finally found a good place.

The new Fiesta will be available in Europe from this fall as a 3 or 5 door hatcback.

How cool is this:Carzone Specials’ Fiat 500

I realise that the guys from Fiat aren’t known for their exceptional cars but I have to give them credit for the 500.Not many manufacturers managed to revive true icons.It’s an art that takes more than just talent and money.

And every icon deserves a token of gratitude once a while.So Carzone Specials took on the chalenge and realised a very cool body kit.I must admit that they didn’t go for the „discreet beast” look.The new front spoiler with a huge grill,the side skirts and the rear soipler that features an awesome central placed exhaust trasform this compact into a real head-turner.

The ride has also been lowered by a few inches due to a special KW susspension
and the 17 inch rims are made by Oxigin Wheels.

GT3 Cup, Porsche’s newest racing car

First of all can we really talk about a new Porsche GT3? Apparently we can. For this season the car has been subtelly upgraded. Even though we can’t see the modifications the drivers will most likely notice them. From a mechanical point of view it’s an almost new car. The susspension has been modified for better traction and also more settings. This will come in handy durring the racing season.

The engine has been slightly tinkered with or so say the guys from Porsche. The 6 cylinder 3.8 litre alluminium forged boxer power plant developes 465 HP at 8000 rpm. But the red line is placed at over 9400 rpm. The torque is also impressive: 430 Nm at 7.250 rpm. The car has a brand new transmission,a 6 speed sequential gear box.
Even though the Porsche GT3 RSR will probabily never see normal roads, being a pure racing monster, the 349.800 euros price would most likely discourage pottential buyers.
