CarZPage TOP 10 cars of 2007
The CarZPage Santa decided to bring you an early gift because all of our readers have been so kind to us for the past year.We realy appreciate your support and hope that you’ll be willing to at least bear with us through 12 more car-addicted months.
And now,the TOP 10 CARS of 2007:
On the 10th place we find the Pontiac Solstice GXP.Although the European inspired roadster unleashes its 260 HP in a very good way,I can’t stop wondering why didn’t Pontiac explore more the retro design.Wanting to satisfy both the American and the European market, this car just hasn’t got enough to make it to the top.
9th place is filled by the Porsche 911 Turbo.A fabulous car,a masterpiece of German engineering, the „new” 911 leaves me wanting for a brand new face on a brilliant car.Because it’s begining to get boring, the racer from Stuttgart takes only 9th place.
Number 8 is the Jaguar XKR.If that’s not gorgeous then I don’t know what is!Having a supermodel body and a heart of a horse, the new XKR can make your blood pressure rise but would you realy pay 60.000 euros for an Aston Martin replica?
If you’ve got rocket fuel flowing through your veins then the next car is for you:7th place, the Porsche 911 GT3.One of my favourites, feeling as comfortable on the road as well as on the circuit, this tarmack swallowing racer puts a hole through your heart as well as through your pocket. It doesn’t manage to be a working class hero so it lands 7th on our top.
On the 6th spot is the all time favorite with boy racers:the BMW M3.BMW had a brilliant idea when it decided to take a normal car and turn it into a fantasy maker.Good for cruising on the freeway or displaying a perfect drift, the M3 is the first car on our top that excites both business men and boy racers.
On the 5th place I’ve slaped the Maserati Spyder Gransport.A car that can turn you into a gentleman or a speed freack, another Italin beauty with a twist:great bottom, not so good face.Because it doesn’t have a perfect body,it gets 5th place.
Next on our top is the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.I think it deserves 4th place even though it’s an old car with a facelift. It has to be said that the 6 year old engine can still do its job very well and the doors will never dissapoint.
Number 3 is a true LeMans winner:the Audi R8.Audi did mankind a big favour when it gave it the road version of their LeMans racer mostly because everyone who has 110.000 dollars can feel like a winner all they want.Because it’s better than a Christmass morning, the R8 also caught our hearts.
Only 2 more to go and 2nd place goes to Mercedes for their CL 65 AMG.With a sleack body and a monster of an engine the AMG version of the popular CL65 eats the road like a hungry dragon. If you’re a little nuts and you have a death wish then this is the car for you.
And finally, our 2007 favorite, the Bentley Continental GTC.Because it has it all:a breath taking design, british and german engineering, a spotless interior and more sex appeal than a stripper, this mean cruising machine takes the 1st place.

According to the guys from Mazda, this trio is slated for debut at Japan’s main tuning show, the Tokyo Auto Salon, on 11-13 January 2008. A new street racer from Ford
After teasing us for the last couple of monthes, the Americans finally confirm the Focus RS.The future competetor for Impreza STi, Evo X and Golf R32 will have the same 5 cylinder 2.5 litre engine as the Focus ST but the power will be delivered to the wheels by an all new 4WD system.Speaking od power, the turbo charged beast will develope 280 HP,wich is resonable but not enough to blow me away.
The impressive part is the torque:540 Nm.It goes without saying that the suspension, the brakes and the steering were completely redone.
The exterior will most probabily be decorated withe the usual air scoops, flared arches and oversized rims.
All in all the Ford RS promises to be a fenemenal car considering that the ST didn’t disappoint.
Land Rover LRX Concept to embed iPhone
A new and interesting concept was revealed a few days ago. We’re talking about the Land Rover LRX Concept which is different from the other concept cars, because it features iPhone integration. How cool is that, folks? From what we’ve heard it seems that the concept vehicle will sport a couple of touchscreens, one of which is used to “control the LRX’s iPhone facility.” This car will also have an iPod docking station and a pair of removable speakers on the tailgate. Nevertheless, we should find out more about this concept when it hits the Detroit Auto Show floor in January 2008.
