600 HP green car:by Leno

Everybody who knows Jay Leno is familiar with his unmatched love for cars and bikes. And since money is no problem for him he can afford many crazy stuff when it comes to this area. This year Leno and Pratt&Miller, the company which builds the C6R Corvette put together a Z06 derived model called the the C6RS.

The car has an aluminum V8 engine wich puts aut no less than 600 HP and 790 Nm aut of 8,2 litre. Gm calles this a “small block” even though just one cylinder has over a litre. But its most interesting aspect is that it runs on E85 eco-fuel because Leno wanted to show that even supercars can drink alternative fuel.

Only one question remains: what’s the MPG?

Impreza WRX Sti more potent that Evo X

After the launch of the new Impreza inevitably appeared some controvery about its design fueld by the fact that Mitsubishi succeeded to fiind an impecable line for the Lancer.
Subaru now wants to impress through technology and the most indicated car for this thing has to be the new WRX Sti presented at the Tokyo Auto Show.The most eye-catching aspect of the new Sti is the 2 litre boxer enginewich developes 308 HP/6.400 rpm and a top torque of 422 Nm/4.400 rpm.What exactely does this mean?It means that the WRX Sti has 28 more HP than the Evo X but both cars having the same torque:422 Nm.
It’s true that the Evo developes its torque at much lower revs,3500,but as everybody knows at this kind of cars it is not important only the amount of power but also how that power is transmited to the ground.But thia aspect will be revealed by the test drives.

The Bullitt Mustang:rebirth of a legend

Ford wants to bring back a model that is synonymus with „being cool”.I’m talking about the Bullitt Mustang,a car wich shall show its face on november 13th in L.A at the Auto show.

Unfortunately Ford kept all the information regardint the new model confidential but we can expect a few things as:latest generation performance,great looks and awesome power.Most likely it will wear the “British green”,vintage rims and custom interior and exterior vinyls.

An SUV from Ferrari? Why?

The answer is actualy very simple:money and power. That’s right! And what about the motivation? Well,that’s also very simple:envy. Porsche were proudly showing off their Cayenne sales so the guys from Maranello set their mind on making their own SUV. I can almost see most of the Ferrari fans jumping out the window…
That being said, the SUV will have to be a pretyy good car to match the Cayenne. Technologicaly the new Ferrari will be identical with a sports car: 600 HP, 600Nm, 0 to 60 in less than 5 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph.

Will this car really be a „Cayenne killer”? We’ll have to wait and see because its first appearence will be in 2010 at Geneva. Oh…and one more thing: the price tag-250.000 de euros, a lot of money for such an ugly car.

Dodge Viper SRT-10: the ultimate american sports car

Or so say the guys from Dodge.They revealed the 2008 version of one of the best known american cars.Even though its history is rather short the Viper caught Europe’s eyes because it represents the American view of a sports car:big cylinders,huge torque and an incredible quarter mile time.

In 2008 the SRT-10 has the same 8.4 litre engine but with more horses:600.0 to 60 in just 4 seconds put the Viper ahead of many European cars.The down side is that the SRT-10 has a big feud with all corners…
